2024 RULES

 

1.         The league is based on NASCAR Cup Series only.

 

2.         Owners' team shall consist of 3 drivers.  Owners shall name their team (for example, the Gotham Good Guys).

 

3.         Owners’ weekly team shall consist of 1 driver within the top 10 (1 thru 10) in the current driver standings, 1 driver within 11 thru 20 in the standings, and 1 driver 21st or more in the standings.  The standings for the Daytona 500 shall be the drivers standing at the conclusion of the prior year.  Vacations can and do happen; therefore, if drivers are not selected by the deadline for that week, the owner’s team shall consist of their previous week’s selection as long as the drivers are still within the 3 tiers (1-10, 11-20, 21+).  If any of the selected drivers change tiers, the owner’s replacement drivers shall be 10th for 1-10, 20th for 11-20, and 30th for 21+.  Note:  This means drivers may and will be owned by more than one team.

 

4.         The team’s weekly point total shall be the sum of the Qualifying Points, Race Points, Win Bonus, Top 5 Bonus, and Top 10 Bonus.

 

5.         Standings and the League Champion are determined by a season-to-date cumulative points total for each race plus the prediction point bonus.

 

6.         The selected drivers and prediction winner listed as of 1-hour prior to the scheduled broadcast will be in effect for that race.

 

7.         Each owner is required to pay $1 per week.  The collected money will be given to the owner with the high score for that week.  A running tally will be kept throughout the season with reckoning at season close.

 

8.         A $20 per team entry fee is payable to the commissioner prior to the season.  The entry fee is nonrefundable.  Prize money distribution is as follows:  1st $80, 2nd $55, 3rd $30, 4th $15 (based on a 10 owner league) plus $20 for the owner who makes the most correct race winner predictions.

 

9.         The league is a democratic dictatorship.  The Commissioner will make judgements, and ruling as deemed appropriate.  Rule interpretations will be made by the Commissioner without necessary consultation of the league owners as a whole.  Decisions made by the Commissioner are not up to appeal.  A new Commissioner may be elected by a simple majority of the league owners at any time.

Description: aatobul1   The driver does not receive Top 5 or Top 10 points in addition to this.

 

TOP 5 Bonus

4 pts for placing in the Top 5

Description: aatobul1   A driver receives the Top 5 bonus only for placing 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th.

 

TOP 10 Bonus

2 pts for placing in the Top 10

Description: aatobul1   A driver receives the Top 10 bonus only for placing 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, or 10th.

 

Prediction Point Bonus

20 pts for predicting the weekly race winner

Description: aatobul1   The points will be added to the owner’s season total, not weekly.
